Melania Trump rocks a wedding dress at the RNC

Melania Trump donned a white Roksanda dress described as a “beautiful option for the modern bride” on stage Monday at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.The “Margot” dress, which retails for $2,190, quickly sold out in most sizes on Net-a-porter’s retail website following Trump’s appearance on stage.

A spokesperson for Trump told Women’s Wear

Daily that she purchased the dress from the website.

Roksanda Ilinic, the Serbian-born designer behind the brand, is based in London.


Donald Trump’s campaign wants to promote the 46-year-old Slovenian-born model-turned-designer as a 21st-century Jackie Kennedy.

Trump’s family-leave policy would include six weeks of pay

With daughter Ivanka at his side, Donald Trump on Tuesday night called for a new national family-leave policy that would provide six weeks of paid leave for new moms and tax breaks for child and elderly care. Trump’s proposed changes would alter unemployment insurance already offered by employers to accommodate maternity leave — and guarantee that a mother on leave after having a child would get a paycheck for six weeks. Employers currently are not required to pay workers on maternity leave, although some do offer that perk. Trump’s announcement marks a massive shift against what had been Republican orthodoxy. For instance, GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill refused even to applaud when President Obama demanded “a bill” on paid maternity leave in his 2015 State of the Union Address. EU Skepticism in Austria Underpinned

  Austrians continue to be among the biggest EU skeptics in Europe. Only 35 percent regard the EU as a whole as "positive," while the EU average is 45 percent. Just under a third of respondents in Austria are in favor of EU enlargement, while across Europe half are in favor. However, just under one-third of Austrian respondents disapprove of the EU as a whole, an increase of four percentage points compared with the previous Eurobarometer. On average in Europe, only 18 percent feel this negatively about the Union. Austrian respondents are particularly skeptical about close military cooperation within the EU. Only 56 percent are in favor of a common EU security and defense policy, compared with 77 percent across Europe.
