Clinton still holds sizable lead over Trump

Hillary Clinton’s sizable national lead over Donald Trump is holding steady, a new poll shows.
Clinton is beating Trump, 50 percent to 42 percent, in this week’s installment of the NBC News/Survey Monkey poll. Last week’s poll showed similar results, with Clinton leading Trump, 50 percent to 41 percent.

Tuesday’s poll marks a month straight of Clinton holding at least an 8 point lead over Trump in this national survey.
Nearly two thirds of those surveyed (65 percent) believe race relations in America are getting worse. Only 10 percent believe race relations are “getting better” —while a quarter (24 percent) believe race relations are “staying the same.”
Supporters of Trump are more likely (78 percent) to believe race relations are worse than Clinton supporters (54 percent), the poll finds.
The poll also finds that 55 percent of registered voters believe “Society has not reached equal opportunity, while 43 percent believe “Society has reached equal opportunity.”
