Trump spending nearly $5M on TV ads in pivotal swing states
With a new campaign team in place, Donald Trump is opening the ad spigot with $4.9 million in commercial buys over the next 10 days in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania, Kantar Media’s political-ad-tracking service reported Thursday.

The ads, set to begin airing Friday, will include negative “facts and figures” about Hillary Clinton and a positive message about Trump, new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told Fox News.
Clinton has a huge head start in the ad wars, having torn through $61 million since she locked up the nomination in June. With her primary super PAC added to the mix, Clinton’s spending totals at least $104 million.
Meanwhile, Trump hasn’t spent a dime on TV spots in the general election.
But outside groups like the National Rifle Association and two super PACS, Rebuilding America Now PAC and Great America PAC, have boosted Trump, spending at least $13.5 million.
Polls show Trump trailing in all four battleground states where he’s buying ads.
On Thursday morning, Trump seemed to predict that he would defy expectations and confound the pundits, tweeting: “They will soon be calling me MR. BREXIT!”
Right before Britons voted to exit the European Union, pollsters predicted they would cast ballots to stay put.
